About AI Search Asia

An English-first research publication examining how organisations become represented in generative answer systems across Asia-Pacific.

What AI Search Asia is

AI Search Asia is an English-first research publication examining how generative answer products represent organisations, evidence and markets across Asia-Pacific enterprise research journeys. We sit at the intersection of regional market structure, source-level observation and governance practice—the place where marketing analytics alone stops short.

Our remit is to publish methods before conclusions. Readers should be able to inspect how a sample was designed, what was excluded, how citations were coded and what uncertainty remains—before trusting a headline comparison. That standard exists because enterprise buyers in Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo and Taipei already use answer systems for category discovery, vendor comparison, risk validation and implementation research; organisations deserve the same transparency about AI visibility that they expect from financial or security reporting.

The problem we address

Generative answers are influential and uneven. They may cite first-party specifications in one query and third-party listicles in the next. They may conflate regional headquarters with delivery capability, or merge distinct legal entities across languages. Individual screenshots circulate in slide decks as proof of “rankings” that were never sampled, coded or time-bounded.

Asia-Pacific amplifies these risks: multi-script publishing, bilingual buyer behaviour, regulated industries with jurisdictional evidence, and supply chains where technical truth lives outside marketing HTML. A visibility narrative built in London or San Francisco often misreads what regional buyers see.

What we build

01

Benchmark infrastructure

A planned longitudinal programme—the Asia AI Search Benchmark—with pre-registered samples, coding dimensions and release gates. No invented scores.

02

Market programmes

Country workstreams for Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Taiwan shaped by distinct research questions—not cloned location pages.

03

Governance practice

Field guidance for enterprises translating observation into accountable ownership, claim registers and cross-functional response.

04

Research notes

Short, citable memos on methods and interpretation published in our research archive.

What we are not

We are not an answer-system ranking authority, a certification body, a placement service or a substitute for legal, regulatory or investment advice. We do not guarantee that publishing certain content will produce citations. We do not sell “visibility scores” without documented observation and limitations.

Our work distinguishes observed interface behaviour from commercial inference. When we link to related projects—such as 852GEO for Hong Kong geographic context or AI Search Lab for operational audit methods—we do so for reader utility, not as endorsement or reciprocal promotion.

Research desk

Articles are authored by the AI Search Asia Research Desk unless a named contributor is shown. The desk is responsible for prompt design, source review, coding documentation, release gating and corrections. External contributors appear with biography and disclosure; collaboration does not guarantee coverage, linkage or a favourable finding.

Standards and accountability

Editorial independence, sourcing rules and conflict disclosure are set out in the editorial policy. Material revisions are logged on the corrections page. Methodological detail lives in the research methodology and the baseline pre-registration.

Geographic focus

Initial programmes centre on Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Taiwan—markets where we can maintain language competence, realistic enterprise journey framing and honest limitation reporting. Expansion to additional Asia-Pacific jurisdictions will be announced as separate registered workstreams, not implied by generic “APAC” language.

Collaboration

We welcome methodological critique, replicable public datasets, expert review and good-faith replication attempts. Propose a collaboration via the research desk. We prioritise work that strengthens observation quality and regional understanding over promotional coverage.

Publication timeline honesty

As of 3 August 2026, the benchmark remains in planned-sample stage. This site publishes infrastructure, briefs and governance guidance so readers can evaluate future results against a fixed public design—not surprise post hoc metrics.
